چکیده

Objectives- A flood is a strangely high stage in river generally, the level at which overflows its banks inundates adjacent area. Flood occurs due to intense rainfall, dense population, industrialization, illegal settlement along riverbanks, bank erosion, tide, and urbanization, it causes harmful damage human beings properties. It can be taken care of by adopting risk measures. One measures development inundation maps. Hence current study, maps are developed with integration GIS HEC-RAS Bhīma River reach Maharashtra, India. Methods: In this using series annual peak discharges, flows were estimated for different recurrence intervals. Inundated areas marked represent 25 years 100 return periods HEC-RAS, ArcGIS handling spatial data, HEC-GEORAS interfacing between ArcGIS. Simulation 2, 5, 10, 25, 50, 100-year done, have been 100-years reoccurrence interval. Findings:The analysis on left right has done water surface elevations generated from model. The significant findings revealed that representing east side more vulnerable spills than west river. flooded 32.4 km2 43.82 25-year intervals, respectively. Generally, study urban agricultural downstream susceptible flooding. Novelty: map will help local authority effective decision-making disaster management flooding situations, especially River. Obtained depths decide necessity structural reduce deteriorating effects Keywords: Inundation map; frequency; DEM; Sensitivity analysis; Return Period;

Inland wetlands mapping and vulnerability assessment using an integrated geographic information system and remote sensing techniques

The understanding of inland wetlands’ distribution and their level of vulnerability is important to enhance management and conservation efforts. The aim of the study was to map inland wetlands and assess their distribution pattern and vulnerability to natural and human disturbances such as climate change (temperature increase) and human activities by the year 2080. Inland wetland types i.e. for...

Land cover land use mapping and change detection analysis using geographic information system and remote sensing

Land cover/land use categories are relevant components in land management. Understanding how land cover/land use change over time is necessary to assess the consequences of humans and natural stressors on the earth’s environment and resources. The aim of the study was to map and monitor the spatial and temporal change in land cover/land use for the periods of 1977, 1991 and 2016 and to predict ...

Groundwater potentiality through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) using remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS)

Nowadays the use of remote sensing and Geographic Information System (GIS) is one of the most powerful cost effective tools to identify and discover the available groundwater resources. In this paper, Lithological Units, Lineaments, Slope, Topography, Drainage density, Vegetation and Isohyets lines have been achieved by stations and through remote sensing and GIS techniques. All layers of diffe...
